Our biodegradable bags are made using PLA film. This comes from annually renewable corn and other sugar starches. The film is certified with the European standard EN 13432 and the ‘OK biobased ****’ conformity mark.
The film biodegrades completely into CO2, water and biomass (organic matter used as a fuel) under industrial composting conditions. (6 months at 58° C). It can also incinerated or put in some landfills.
These bags can be made with or without a self-seal lip.
